Yoga for Stress Management
How you manage your stress determines how you look and feel more than all other factors put together. It affects your body, your energy level and your mind. It affects the quality of your life, your relationships, your job, your health and your ability to feel good.
And the biggest factor of all is how you feel about yourself in the world. How you treat your body, how you speak to yourself, how you spend your time, and who you spend your time with, etc.
We all need tools that we can use to help us nip stress and tension in the bud on a daily basis. Stress is good in small doses. It helps us build strength and makes us more resilient on all levels, but if held for too long, it wreaks havoc on our bodies, our minds, and how we interact in the world.
Taking an integrative approach is crucial. Working on all levels, seeing the big picture, and taking responsibility for all of it. Self-care, self-expression, self-love all come into play,
By combining the ancient art and practices of yoga with what modern science is discovering, Marsha’s classes and workshops give you the tools needed to release your stress on a daily basis without having to add to your already hectic schedule.
To keep this from being just a concept, and giving it true meaning, we must embody this work. You will learn methods to work through your body from the inside out, or somatically, by tuning into sensation as your guide as a way to release your physical, emotional and mental stress.
You will come away with tools that will help you release stress and live more fully, more joyfully, more authentically. By creating new patterns and releasing the one’s that keep you stuck. By learning to live more in the moment, with more awareness, you automatically release the stress that is created by worrying about the future, or being stuck in the past.
We must be present to heal. Healing and change are present time events, and paradoxically, acceptance of what is, is the first step in allowing for change.
You will learn methods proven to bring more peace and balance to your life.
